With a mission to bring Film for Everyone. Every Day, MdFF is thrilled that this June, Baltimore Pride will be centered in the Station North Arts & Entertainment District – home to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Parkway. Baltimore Pride has grown to become Maryland’s largest SGL/LGBTQ visibility event, providing an opportunity for the greater Maryland community to experience and learn more about the SGL/LGBTQ community through a weekend of wonderful events and exhibitions. Over the past four decades, Baltimore Pride has evolved from a small rally of a dozen activists to a full-fledged festival that welcomes 30,000 revelers annually.

MdFF plans to showcase a full week of GLBTQ films from Friday, June 16 to Thursday, June 22 – taking Baltimore Pride’s weekend of celebration and expanding into a week of specialty programming. Featuring films that celebrate the history and culture of the GLBTQ community, the Parkway’s Pride Week will feature a rotating slate of documentaries, features, and a unique shorts program.

Among the offerings is Henry Gamble’s Birthday Party, a 2015 drama written and directed by Stephen Cone, exploring a 17-year-old boy coming to grips with his sexuality during an emotionally charged party. Also showing is I Am Divine, a 2013 American documentary film directed by Jeffrey Schwarz on the eponymous American actor, singer, and drag performer. I Am Divine premiered at South by Southwest Film Festival in 2013, and had its Baltimore hometown premier that year at the Maryland Film Festival.

In addition, there will be shorts program, including Call Your Father. For more information on tickets and times, visit mdfilmfest.com/pride.
