Join the SNF Parkway theatre for the Baltimore premiere of AS TOLD TO G/D THYSELF, a film by the Ummah Chroma, a collective made up of filmmakers and artists Bradford Young, Terence Nance, Jenn Nkiru, Kamasi Washington, and Marc Thomas. Inspired by Washington’s last album, Heaven and Earth, and shot in Baltimore, AS TOLD TO G/D THYSELF is the cosmic journey of sacred youth, during which pain, pleasure, and sublimation are nonnegotiable.

Prior to the screening will be a discussion with Bradford Young, award-winning cinematographer of SELMA, ARRIVAL, and SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY. Part of a series of Artist Talks from the ongoing Saul Zaentz Visiting Artist speaker series, designed to celebrate film and media arts in Baltimore, programmed and run by the Johns Hopkins University Bachelor of Arts Program in Film and Media.
