Saturday, May 6th

12:00pm-1:00pm Baltimore Screenwriters Competition Winners Announced

Winners of the shorts and features categories will be announced along with a panel discussion on screenwriting. Screenwriters Panel: Nina Noble, Producer (“The Deuce,” “Treme,” “The Wire”), and Keith Mehlinger and David Warfield, both professors of Morgan State University. Moderated by Debbie Dorsey, Director of the Baltimore Film Office, and Eric Bannat, Location Manager.

1:00pm-3:30pm Baltimore Student Film Showcase: Youth Media Session

Hosted by Rahne Alexander

A showcase featuring the work of Baltimore-area youth producers from organizations and programs such as Baltimore Youth Film Arts, Baltimore School for the Arts, Wide Angle Youth Media, Baltimore City & County Public Schools, Root Branch Root Branch Film Academy, and the Park School of Baltimore.

 

Sunday, May 7th

1:00pm-3:30pm Baltimore Student Film Showcase: College Film Session

Hosted by Rahne Alexander

A showcase featuring work from undergraduate and graduate academic film programs from Johns Hopkins University, Maryland Institute College of Art, Stevenson University, Towson University, Morgan State University, UMBC, and University of Baltimore.

4:00pm-5:00pm The Baltimore Filmmaker Collective

A panel discussion with members of the newly formed non-profit focused on support of the local film community, led by Eric Cotten (MdFF Screening Committee Member/Filmmaker) featuring Miceal O’Donnell (Filmmaker), Troy Burton (Executive Director of the Eubie Blake Cultural Center), and Leesa Ashley (Actress).
